‍Position Details

• Title: Commercial Photographer
• Type: Full-Time, Contract
• Location: Nelson, BC, Canada
• Start Date: Immediately
• Compensation: $4,000 - $6,000/month

What You'll Be Doing:

‍

• Capture and edit high-quality commercial-grade photos for various clients, ensuring alignment with their marketing and brand strategies.
• Develop, plan, and execute on the creative for each project, ensuring top-tier output.
• Assist in basic video production work when needed, including shooting and editing short-form content.
• Collaborate with the Tamarack team to shape and refine internal creative initiatives.
• Provide creative direction to enhance Tamarack’s and our clients’ brand storytelling and digital content strategies.
• Stay proactive in learning and adapting to industry trends, including new photography techniques, AI tools, and evolving content strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

‍

• Proven expertise in commercial photography, demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in editing software, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Capture One, and Premiere.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced content environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of digital content trends and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on creative projects.
• Exceptional time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

‍

• 3+ years of professional photography experience in commercial or brand work.
• Strong understanding of social media trends and digital marketing principles.
• Experience with AI tools and modern content creation technologies.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Google Business Suite and digital workflow management.
